Most of my temps are taken between 4:20 and 4:40 in the morning. However, our schedule is irregular and the kids make it even more irregular. Some morning I wake up at 2:30 while others as late as 8:00. Alarms don't wake me up so I have to rely completely on DH who does not have a steady work schedule. I always temp when I first wake up and we keep our apartment temperature steady. How badly could this impact my chart?

it can greatly affect it. the closer you have to the same time every day the better it is.

Do you have any tips for steadying it out? I know you're supposed to do it after 3 hours of sleep before getting up and moving around, but that's the problem. We just don't wake up at the same time every day and when the one year old is up at night I may not even get 3 hours of sleep.

Pick a time when most days you have had a 3 hr stretch of sleep or as close to it as you get. set the alarm for that time and temp then. you can always go back to sleep after you temp

DH sets 4 alarms to wake him up every morning and unfortunately they don't wake me up. I sleep right through them no matter how loud they are. I was amazed that my kids actually wake me up, but I thank maternal instinct for that. I'll try to figure something out. Thanks.
