Ive been ttc since June so not too long but i have found message boards like this so helpful, so i thought that i would share my experiences.

So nearly 5 years after having my son (who incidentally was an accident and was conceived just 2 weeks after stopping the pill for a break because of headaches) we decided the time was right for baby #2.

I stopped taking the pill in mid june and thought i would get pregnant super fast like last time but i didn't typical isn't it ! so then i fell deep into the world of ttc, looking into the ins and outs so to speak and decided to use opk. I bought a few cheap sticks off ebay and tested every day for ages before i got a result then i wasnt sure if it was real because of the depth of colour need to be positive. So after days of searching message boards i found this one was the best and quickly learnt a new language-bd,bfn,bfp,opt etc ... . The internet has been so useful at answering any silly questions i've had its great.

I got my first true period after stopping the pill on July 16th (the bleeding after stopping the pill is just withdrawal ive since learnt) i have again used opk and have bought some more cheapies off ebay but more sensitive ones oh and pregnancy tests high sensitive ones. Like many other women ttc im no where near patient enough to wait to test when i should so have had endless bfn which make me feel really down. I did one today and im only 6dpo, i know stupid but when i search i see that some people have got positive results so early why shouldn't i ? So here i am again waiting, its exhausting and ive not done it anywhere near as many times as others but i am a very impatient person. I only have 1 pregnancy test left so i will have to find some will power to wait or buy more!!
Im more aware of my body since stopping the pill, i admit i never had breaks while taking it because i hate periods so much so its awful now each time i'm not pregnant. Straight after stopping birth control i felt sick for a while had many headaches vv sensitive boobies, heightend sense of smell and pmt its a wonder we ever bd. As i haven't had many periods over the last few years i'm not familiar with the signs of it coming but i noticed before my last period my boobs where vv sensitive and my cycle on 26 days where as years ago it was 28. This time i have no symptoms at all no sensitivity at all so i view this as a good sign, this is something else i've discovered i hold onto anything that could mean i'm pregnant. Im suprised that i'm like this considering i never ever ever wanted children, my how i've changed it's hard to accept that i feel this way it's such a big change and i have to let my true new feelings out now instead of hiding them.

As i've said i'm 6dpo and will continue the story as much as i can hopefully helping others along the way some how.

Am now 7dpo, last night and this morning i got a few twinges on the right side this makes me think AF is on it's way, still no sore boobs like last time don't know if that's a good or bad thing. I also had a headache a couple of days ago but that might be due to eye strain because i love cross stitching and had a marathon evening stitching. Don't know about anyone else but im scared to turn over in bed to quickly or scrunch up on the floor playing with my son just in case i am pregnant and i stop the egg implanting or detach it, silly i know but it's a thought that's there. Also to ad I gave in and used my last preg test and it was BFN but i did order some more that should come tomorrow.

Just had a stretch and felt the twinge feeling more, tried to stretch again but cant feeling anything what could i be feeling?

having faint feeling on left side now, still no sore boobs like last time which gives me a little hope but then again aren't sore boobs a sign of pregnancy too as well as Af due ? this is so confusing and i'm so impatient. My new batch of pregnancy tests should arrive soon how long will i go without testing?

Now 8dpo...

Think i've seen first sign of AF starting when I went to the loo, so nevermind. I keep wondering whats going wrong.

I thought AF was starting because of what i saw when i wiped but nothing since, I'm due on today if i'm going to be 26days like last time. Still no more signs so everything crossed. I have even been nausea's but that could be all in my head. Still no sore boobs.

I did a test but bfn. Can you get morning sickness and a bfn?

Still BFN, not sure whats going on, had slight pink stuff when i wiped which has increased slightly but is brown could it be implantation ? I don't know? keep running to the loo checking in case it turns to full blown AF. still some feelings maybe twinges on right side and still no sore boobs.

I know I was kidding myself but sometimes you have to hold on to a little hope.

AF has definitely begun now.

Trying to look on the bright side now fresh start and all that.

Been a while since i updated, Af out off the way now and I should be ovulating anytime soon so I keep testing using opk. I was wondering if giving blood would have some affect as I donated today, anybody know?

I ovulated on 26th Aug and am now 13 dpo, was really tired last night and have had no symptoms. Have been testing as usual every day for the past 3-4 days and to my surprise a BFP !! well it was a faint line i had to check several times to see it, so i did another and it was slightly stronger. This evening i tested again and still a faint line, so 3 faint lines they can't be wrong can they? also did a opk out of interest and that too had a positive line.

So after 2-3 months we did it ! haven't really got any symptoms no cramps at all which did make me wonder as i cramp 2-3 days before AF. I did feel a slight wave of sickness and dizziness today but that could of been shock.

So if you have any questions please ask, as i've said before this website is a great support.

Congratulations to you. It didn't take you that long to get a bfp so you must be relieved! My husband and I have ttc since August of this year so it's not too long for us either. This is my second month of ttc and nothing et. AF is coming today for sure. Before I plan to get pregnant I went to two different ob/gyn docs to make sure everything was OK. They said I am OK and nothing to worry about. However, I can't help to not worry when I want a baby so badly. Anyhow, we have to keep on trying.
