Well, I've actually been TTC since March of 2006, and I have had 5 early losses in that time, but with the surgery I had, I am looking at this as a new beginning!

On Wednesday, Sept. 17th, I went in for a laparoscopic surgery to confirm diagnosis of endometriosis and remove that tissue. They were also doing a diagnostic (and possibly operative) hysteroscopy that day too. Much to the surprise of my RE once he started the operation, I did not have endometriosis! He did find some adhesions on the posterior cul-de-sac where the fallopian tubes pick up a mature egg, and removed those. He checked my uterus and the remainder of my tubes and said everything looked great. He is very satisfied with the way things went and really believes that this is going to significantly increase our chances of getting pregnant on our own. I do ovulate fairly late in my cycle, so we may use Clomid and/or Femara to help with getting me to ovulate sooner. We will find out about that when we go in for my follow up post-op appointment on October 1st. He said I could star trying again next week. He wants me to wait until at least Saturday or Sunday before attempting intercourse though. I am currently on CD 9 and am taking prenatal vitamins and folic acid this cycle.

I think I am healing quite nicely from my lap. I'm pretty sore right around my belly button incision, and while the incision down near the pelvic bone isn't really sore, there is a bit of nasty bruising there. Overall I just feel like someone used me as a punching bag. lol I can't complain too much though because I haven't really been taking my pain meds. I could have taken the Percocet every 4 hours and I've only taken 5 pills now. I've still been able to function too. I've made dinner in the evenings (all except the night of the surgery, which the kids ate at Matt's mom's and Matt brought home a sub from WalMart for him). I went grocery shopping Friday night, though I did use one of those little electric carts so that I didn't over do it. It's a 30 minute drive to the store (Matt drove), shopping, 30 minute drive back, and I had already made dinner and cleaned up the kitchen so I didn't want to make it too bad, but there were a few things we HAD to have. Mom's don't get the luxury of relaxing the way we should sometimes.
