Hello to all of you! I am new here and do not know all the "lingo" but am in need of your help! We are trying to conceive. I am on Clomid and am wondering...WHEN SHOULD I OVULATE? I know, there is no magic number...I myself cannot tell, and am so envious of those that can "just tell." I am getting conflicting stories...My Dr. says look at around day 14....but my cycle is 38 days, not 28 days. Some experts say you have to count back from your 38th day 14 days...which would be day 24, not day 14... I am so confused! I am going to start charting my temp and I also have ovulation kits but should I start testing early and just buy lots of tests (not cheap) to be able to go out to day 24, 25...etc? What do you think? You are women of wisdom with lots of exeriences to go off of. Thank you all so much!

IF YOUR CYCLE IS ALWAY 38 DAYS THEN YOU WOULD OVULATE DAY 19!!!! I HOPE THAT HELPS..........THAT'S JUST A PREDICTION THOUGH....IVE READ OVULATION HAPPENS MID WAY OF YOUR CYCLE.

If you are on Clomid, then you should probably ovulate sooner than you normally do...
Clomid also dries up CM, so it might be harder to read - but I have heard that a lot of people feel O pains on Clomid...if it were me, I'd definitely do OPKs - starting at around CD14, and also BBT to be sure of when you did O...GL!

PS-Your doc should have told you a lot before before just giving you the pills...I would talk to him more about what he recommends...

You are right, he should have told me more! Thanks for responding! I guess I will go out and buy more OPK's as I only have 6 and may need several more if I ovulate later. ( I get so frustrated! I have such terrible hot flashes with Clomid.
