I have been ttc my second since OCTOBER....yes that makes Feburary month 5.....which isn't forever, but it seems long b/c when I got preggers with my first (who is 13 months) it only took a few months of no pertection
SO
here I am trying to soak up any info I can get....and I am learning lots of new things.

does anyone know.....is it better to do the BD before or after O?

Hi and welcome to the community. I think it is best to BD before O because the sperm can take several hours to get to the egg so its best to have sperm already in the tubes waiting for their date with the egg.
Hubby and I BD'D 3, 2, and 1 day before O and the day of O. We did not BD the day after O. We got a BFP doing it this way. Just cover as many days as you can around that time. OPK's are good to use and Preseed for the days you dont get enough EWCM. Good luck. I hope you get your BFP soon.

Thanks! I will try this....I have heard so much cinflicting advice.....before, after....it all gets to be so confusing! What does Preseed do? and what brand do you recomend for the OPK's? I used a few different ones that seemed very expensive....and I lost motivation when I didn't concieve that month

Well ONLY 2 MORE DAYS TILL AF ARRIVES......and I say AF because I waisted all my test strips....and they were all BFN of course..... (on a side note I love all these little smiles and blinkies)
Anyway I have had painful boobs and I am tired and a tad sick to my stomach at moments....but I have no idea if this is AF or pregnancy. I know with DD I was so sick....so I just KNEW I was preggers.....but this time(if I am) it is much more elusive....which would be a great thing!
I just found out that an old friend from a previous town I lived in is preggers and due in October/November ish. (she isn't sure) and under NORMAL cercumstances I would be thrilled for her. But Nope. She NEVER wanted kids. And here I am BD as much as I can and nothin.
I love her to death(really I do) and am happy for her (way way underneath the self pitty)and can't wait to go see her in May and her growing belly. I know that she will be a great mom and I need to stop being so bitter.
UGH~
COME ON STICKY BEAN!!

Thanks all for the DUST and HUGS!

Hi! I'm lurking back over here. We used preeseed and the OPK's and got a BFP immediately. Preseed helps you lubricate. One of my problems was I was producing enough mucus so preseed helped. I started using the OPKs on my CD 12. (I have a 28 day cycle). We BD'd everyday that I got a positive. You can get them online. I bought mine at early-pregnancy-tests.com. We also just relaxed and had fun. Good luck! and baby dust!

TTC can be so daunting and discouraging with month after month of trials and failures. I'm a little old (29) so that might be why it took us so long (10 months), but I didn't get my BFP until I blocked everything TTC-related from my life... including these forums. No preseed, no prenatal vitamins, I pretended like I wasn't TTC and just exercised, had low stress, and ate right. I only DTD when I was really "into it" with a vague understanding that a week after AF was a good time, but I didn't really pay attention. It seemed like that was the only time I could get preggers.

Everyone is different though... do what feels right and don't get discouraged! Maybe preseed will work for you. Just stay relaxed, healthy, and have fun~
