I have been writing a journal to my future baby and I thought it would be fun if you want to read some of it.


Dear baby, 3/14/2009
Well, I must say you are a stubborn just like your mommy. We have been trying to bring you to life for over three years now. I wonder what you are waiting on? I know sweet child I would make a great mommy. Your daddy loves children too. He is so wrapped around the idea of being a daddy. You my dear are on our minds all the time. I wonder what you will look like? Will you have blue eyes like your daddy or hazel like mine. Will you be addicted to sports or maybe a writer? Who knows maybe you will be a star athlete with a brilliant writers mind. Your daddy writes very well, but he has to be in the mood. Boy, when he does put pen to paper mommy better watch out. If you are a poet like me I will take the credit for that. Just don’t tell daddy I told you that. Though, there is no doubt you will be great at sports. It’s written in the your daddy’s genetic code. I on the other hand it missed me somehow. A lot of my family played sports all through school. Your grandmother played varsity basketball and was a hoop star. I will try my best to let dad’s dominate my none athletic bones. What ever your little heart desires we will be routing you on. We will be so proud of you no matter what you want to do. We will support and protect you will all out might. My precious baby I can’t wait to see you for the first time. I pray for the day I bring you to life. You are my angel wait to come to life.

Yesterday was daddy and mommy’s 6 year anniversary. I must say it has been very interesting 6 year. Your daddy really knows how to make me laugh. He does this voice this voice that makes me laugh so hard I could pee my pants. You will just have to hear it when you come to stay with us. With your daddy life is never a dull moment. If I would become a little more free your dad would be jumping out of plans and jumping of buildings. He likes to push the boundaries and I like to stay in my bubble. Your daddy makes me feel safe, but its just I fear not being in control of what could and might happen. I hope you life a bit more free like your father. Don’t you take this out of context either. I can see you now “mom, you told me to live free like dad”. Going to parties and being stupid is not what I mean by free. Sweet heart just don’t think negative be the light is life. Don’t be afraid to try something new. Life is to short to be afraid and live in regret. Do keep some of my bubble side in you so will you be cautious when you are heading out on your adventures. Trust me you will be finding many new things to try every day. When you are born I bet you are going to be looking for something new to try everyday. Daddy and I will be right there with a camera in hand. These pictures just might come in handy one day….. You might not want to give mommy a hard time!

Dear baby,
Tonight mommy was supposed to be in be early since Hercules has a vet appointment in the morning, but here it is 1:34 am. You daddy rented me the movie Marley and Me. Of course you know I watched the whole thing and cried like a big baby. Hercules is our Marley. That dog has daddy trained very well so you should no problem getting anything out of your daddy with those puppy dog eyes I am sure to have. Now mommy on the other hand is now pushover. I bet you and Hercules are going to be good ole pals getting into more trouble than I can imagine. Hercy already is full of mischief. Just the other day he takes off with my socks and I had to chase him all through the house. He ends up downstairs hidden under the bed for 20 minutes. He is the best dog in the world too. When mommy was sick he stayed in bed and made sure I was “okay”. He even brought me his favorite toy. He is going to be your best friend and protector.
