Hi
I am 37 years old and next month I will be 38yrs. I went off the pill Jan. 26th and my period has been inconsistent. I got my period the next day after the pill, then I skipped Feb. and got it March 9th, April 21st and skipped May.

Has anyone else dealt with this? I am frustrated because of the inconsistency.

I would love to hear from women 35 and up who is trying or had a baby recently.

Thanks

I'm not 35 or older, but I do deal with that a lot. I haven't been able to wait and see when my period will come though, because my doctor gives me pills to start my period when I miss a month. I went off the pill in February, got my AF on Feb. 20 and missed March. Took Provera and started on April 4. and then had to take Provera again and started on May 20.

I understand the frustration. My cycles on the pill were like 30-32 days long, and now they have been like 40-46 days long. That is a pretty big difference. Some people just take longer to adjust after going off the pill. I would go to the doctor to see what he/she thinks to be sure everything is okay.

I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) so that's probably why I am so screwed up. But I really think it could just be the way your body is handling withdrawal from the pill.

hi ktay! i'm 35 and TTC#1 so i know how you feel about your body changing. i'm regular but have been off the pill for years and no bfp. i agree with ashnicole that i bet it is just your body re-adusting, though. hang in there!!
