Thought I would start this journal to pass the time and hopefully not go crazy. Also to share probably too much of my particular neuroses and learn more about you lovely ladies.

CD1: Today AF came with a vengeance. Started the morning with some minor cramping and light spotting. Cramping got worse during the day and spotting pretty much stayed the same until about an hour ago when I was loading the dishwasher and then came the gush. Good thing I was home when it happened. SO I'm counting today official day 1 of this cycle. Off birth control my cycles are pretty erratic but from timing through last cycle, seems to be pretty much 28 days or close to it. I predicted AF starting the 7th to the 9th and here it is. Hopefully it stays pretty predictable or we just get PG this cycle and I don't have to stress it anymore.

Some background: My name is Melissa. I am 29. I have been married to DH Eric who turns 29 this month for 8 years. We have a DS Isaac who will be 4 in December. I am a case manager for children and adults with disabilities, a job that is both soul draining and rewarding at the same time. I am hoping to be able to be a SAHM after the next one is born. DH is an insurance salesman. We had DS exactly 4 1/2 years after our wedding day and I would LOVE to get pregnant this cycle because then #2 would be almost exactly 4 1/2 years younger than him. Thought that would be a fun fact. We'll see how it goes though. We had NO trouble getting pregnant with DS (I was off birth control for 3 weeks and we weren't even trying) so hopefully this goes just as smoothly. I have been off birth control since July but we have been pretty careful up until now.

Thats about it from here!

CD #2: Nothing exciting to report. Regular AF. Hopefully this one is less than 2 weeks like my last one.

Trying to get DS potty trained before adding another diapered one to the family. Kid has NO interest in it. He'll go if we make him but will never tell us he needs to go. Tried doing the whole run around the house naked thing.... only thing that led to was some wet walls and a very angry and wet cat. DS thought it was hilarious to chase her while going. Not sure what to do. Normal reinforcement just doesn't work with my stubborn little monkey.

CD6: AF still going strong. Whole house is sick right now. I'm home from work because daycare won't take DS with a fever. He is acting like nothing is wrong though. I feel like crap but not enough to miss work unless DS was sick too. A little irritated that it always seems to be me that has to call in when DS is sick and not DH even though he gets sick time and I don't. Ah well. Such is the life of being a mommy. I was hoping to save up vacation time for those mornings I just can't get motivated when we do catch eggie but we'll see.

Starting to think college football season was not a good time to start TTC.

Hopefully I feel better and AF decides to go away soon. My chart says my optimal fertility times are between the 19th and the 24th. That's only a few days away!

CD:15. DTD yesterday, probably 3 days before that and might try for tonight. I'm having a lot of sharp pains on my right side so I'm hoping it's O pains. We'll see. I get a lot of cysts on that side. Haven't DTD as much as we should so I'm worried we didn't catch it this month. I've been sick and DS hasn't been wanting to go to sleep at night. Fingers crossed!

CD24, 10 DPO:

DS is home sick. Third time in two months he's spent the night throwing up. Some nasty bugs going around lately. Means I've been missing a lot of office time and having to catch up on paperwork at home which sucks.

Right now I'm having a bunch of symptoms. I don't know if they are pregnancy or AF symptoms as some of them have been happening since I got off birth control. They include:

Sore boobs: happens before AF
Nausea in the morning: happens off and on a lot (I have GI problems)
Super exhaustion: Not sure if new or because I haven't been sleeping well, which could also be a symptom
Cramps: happens before AF
Massive sensitivity to sounds and smells: new
Headaches: new
Hungry all the time: new
Having to pee all the time: new

I'm not sure. I don't feel like this is "it" but I could be wrong. AF is supposed to start Monday so we'll see. I'm hoping to be able to hold off testing until next Saturday but we'll see if I can hold out that long. I'm trying to train DH to do more chores before we find out I'm pregnant. The workload is majorly one sided right now. We both work outside of the home full time. However when I come home, I cook dinner, do laundry, bathe DS, do dishes, vaccuum and everything else, he watches football. That is not going to fly while I'm pregnant. But it's seriously like he doesn't see mess at all.
