I am wondering how to use more than one color in the text. I use psp and cant figure it out

Hiya, What i'd do is have say 4 layers of difrent coloured text. Place all of them underneath. Then use your eraser so that some of the colours shows underneath. Same technic as when you do Black and whte piccy then erase to reveal coloured portion. HTH

I use PS, and if I just want to change certain letters, I'll highlight the letter and change it that way.

No, it's all in one layer. I click on the text to get the text box. Then I highlight individual letters and click on the foreground color palette to change the color. Let me know if you want screenshots!
