Hopefully someone sees this up here!

I just did my PR birthday siggy and it looks terrible once I save it as a gif and upload it How do I fix it!? I'm using GIMP.

I'm afraid that's what Gimp does to animated pics. You can try
Image>image>mode>indexed>enable dithering of transparency>convert
then
Filters>animation>optimise (difference)
your siggy will appear in a new window, save that as normal.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, all depends on what's in your siggy and how many layers you have, but there will always be an element of graininess.

Thanks! It still looks gross. Bah! I'm going to ask someone else to make it. I can handle the grainy-ness!!
