if you put a gradient around the letters instead of just whatever colour it looks awesome.. rainbow coloured. I'll try to find an example of what I mean I had it as a sig a few months ago.

Hey there I saw this thread and thought I would add....
I made this one of my dog last year with a great tutorial for PSP but I cant find it anywhere!

But I am pretty sure it was as simple as getting your font how you wanted it then cloning the pics into the selected area.
I like doing the same pic into a few letters like the Z and the first half of the M

I'm not sure. I'm hoping Jacquie will see this and have an answer.

Ok, here is how I do it. I find this a lot easier.

Take your picture. Then type out the text you want over the picture approximately where you want to cut it out.

Then once you have your text typed go to Selections > From Vector Object. This will select your text.

Ok, with your text still selected click on the picture layer below in the layer palette. Then Select > Inverse. Then delete. You should have now deleted the rest of the picture except the part within the text.

Ok, then you have your choice what you want to do with the original text layer. You can delete it or if you want to have a border around it like you do in yours above you can add a stroke to it. Just make sure you put the original text layer below your picture layer if you want the stroke there.

I hope that made sense. Let me know. If you need screen shots I can do it, but not sure when I will be able to sit down and do it.

The drop down menu only goes to 72, because those are standard sizes. You can type in any number you want, though.

That is how I have always done it Rachel. Sometimes the edges ended up jaggedy on the curves and I would have to clean up with the eraser. Going to try the other way too and see how it works...thanks
