I'd love to birth photography too, Lindsey. I think family and child portraiture is where I want to be. I don't think I'd ever want to do weddings.

If I thought I could handle it emotionally, I would love to shoot for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. I just don't think I could do it.
So for now, I just take pictures of my son!

I've done a few births. I love doing them. Being an OB nurse, I am very comfortable in a labor room. It combines 2 loves of mine- birth and photography. It's not feasable for me to be a birth photographer right now though. Too unpredictable, with little kids in the house.
I could see myself doing nothing but newborn photos, for sure.

I hear ya on not being able to do it right now with kiddos, especially since we want more...that's my ultimate dream/goal! Especially home birth photography that is my main passion!!
But right now it's babies/kids.

Portraiture. I would really love to get into maternity and newborn photography too. I feel a strong pull in that direction, but I don't really have much experience. Ha, that's funny since I just had a baby last year. But, I never have a free hand to take a pic of the little stinker.

Couples/engagements....it's so much easier to work with people who listen when you say look at the camera, and there is magic in the love between two people, it makes me all happy inside without having the pressure of it being an event like a wedding.

Weddings all the way! I always thought I'd hate them... then I did a few and totally fell in love.
I'm also a photog for "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep"... I wouldn't say that I'm passionate about it exactly (it's absolutely heart wrenching) but I am very passionate about being able to give those families such an amazing gift in such an awful time... makes it totally worth it!

Nature/Lanscape, but I suck at photography.
Editting and post processing is my real passion though.

Portraiture, especially children (toddlers up to school age). I'd also like to photograph events, such as birthdays, kids and adults (is there even an arena for birthdays?), baptisms, graduations, and maybe one day, one day, a wedding or two.
But right now, I love taking pics of little children.

nature and architecture. I want to be able to capture it when natural light plays an odd but enchanting effect on the landscape. Like yesterday, it was raining, but then the sun was behind me shining, so the light on the buildings in front of me was sooo cool, very surreal. And then driving home I was driving through the country and the odd combination of super dark clouds but a bright sunset very low on the horizon was making the colours of the fields really pop against the dark sky, it was really neat. Too bad the roads sucked because of the rain/snow those clouds were pelting on us and I couldn't pull over to take a pic.
