My first shoot in awhile. I got some lighting (not the best) and decided to try a different kind of background (bought vinyl and paper) and did a little floor. It seems I still struggle with getting those settings that make images so sharp and clean. *sigh* IDK. Here are a few of the better ones, at least IMO.

I think you did great! I would say watch the lines in 1 and 3, see if you can straighten them out a little! I think you got them nice and sharp, I love the rocking chair one!!!

Much better! Its a shame his toes got cropped.. Maybe you could crop in a little tighter and do mid calf so his toes are not chopped.. just an idea. He is SO cute!!!

I love the stool and chair, I need some props like that!

The blue background is giving a color cast on the face though, you may want to adjust the skin tones some.

it's a great blue, and I love the flooring, they come out with a slight blue hue on this computer though, but that could just be from the backdrop

Ditto this.
But I think that your lighting looks good... you've got nice catchlights in the eyes and not too many deep shadows. Love the rocking chair!

Thanks ladies! I'll fix that blue cast. The rocking chair is/was dh's when he was little. When I was pregnant with my oldest we got the chair back and i painted it red. Its been a great little chair And the background is paper! I bought it at Michaels. Its like the paper from teacher stores but a tad bit cheaper

Cute pictures.

How big is the paper, is it a roll? I have a shoot Tues and need some backdrops.
