I'm going to be getting 2 new lenses after the 1st of the year, what would you recommend for outdoor photography? I'm getting a 50mm 1.8f for indoors but not sure what is the best for outdoors.

i'd go with the 1.4 instead of the 1.8 if you could.. i'd probably always use the 1.4 even outdoors.. i mean, a zooming lens is nice, but the 1.4 tops the 1.8 any day

speaking of the 1.4... when I looked them up there seemed to be different versions of it??

I love my 50mm 1.4 for everything... indoors, outdoors...everywhere! I've heard great things about the Tamron 28-75 2.8 too... versatile everywhere.

The only thing is the 50 can be so tight indoors!! I love mine, but that really is my biggest complaint! I can't wait for Christmas and new lenses

That's my biggest complaint too! My studio is in my garage and it's so tight with the 50. I'm hoping that my new full frame camera will help combat that issue.

I have full frame cameras so obviously it's a little different for me but the 50 1.4 is my all time favourite. My second favourite is my 15mm f/2.8 fish eye.
