Snowy Owls usually hang out in the Arctic, but this winter the food supply is sparse up there, so they've headed south. I'm lucky enough to live an hour away from where they are nesting right now...

Aren't they beautiful! I actually spotted on in the summer going to the park with the boys, it was up in the tree and i had to do a double take cause i'd never seen one before. You're lucky you got to see 5 at once..and it's kind of creepy that can turn there heads all the way around like that lol!...amazing pics!

As a friend pointed out, they can turn their heads around to see all the action, just like us moms when our kids are being naughty! LOL
