... to shoot my first birth! I've always wondered if I would enjoy birth photography, and now I'll have my chance to try it out! She's due mid-June, but she was 2 weeks late with her first two children, so she thinks she'll go late again. We're going to meet up in April so I can see the space... she's having a home water-birth. It's going to be an eye-opener, as the only births I've been present for were my own kids!
I want to try birth photography SO badly but my husband works overnights so I can't just up and leave the kids if labor starts. I have really thought about offering it to a mom to be that has set up a newborn shoot with me but I am so scared of a middle of the night rush...and she is very far away from me.
I know LeAnne... I am only charging $150 for it, since it's my first one, but I figure I have to cover childcare, in case it's during a school day and I need to have someone look after the boys. It's so spontaneous with birth photography... unpredictable but exciting!
I have done a birth shoot before and it was amazing. I loved it. I got there early to make sure I had the lighting right and took pics of all the little things. I am not into events at all but birth is something I love and am passionate about so I enjoyed every second.
I want someone to shoot my birth, but DH is not on board and I can't really spend the money anyway, but he is terrible at taking even snapshots lol and so is my mom sooo Im not going to have any good pictures
