Hi I am a teacher and I am struggling with coming up with subjects for my photography class to shoot. Can any of you tell me some simple easy beginner assignments that will keep us busy for the next 4 weeks?!

The only thing i thought of at the moment is Oil on Water photography...i was just doing it for fun but my friend who is a photo teacher asked me about it so i think she may have used it. Here's a couple of my examples:

Basically its oil on water with a background. Here's the tutorial i followed as a guideline:

Is is something you want them to shoot in class or out of class?

What about:
Creative Use of Motion (slow shutter speed)
The Colour Red (red has to be the main focus of the image)
Macro
Repetition or Patterns in Nature
Graffiti as Art

Those are just some that our photo club has used for our theme nights in the past...

Oh my goodness!!! Thank you ladies!!! Those are great ideas. I am going to use most of them before the school year is up!
