As you can see by my signature, I am due in about 5 weeks with my first baby. I am broke! I need to figure out what to use for photo editing but I can't spend any money. Are there any good free downloads out there? I currently have Picture It 2000 which is nothing fancy but it gets the little jobs done and the photo studio software that came with my camera (Canon Rebel XT). That could probably do some decent stuff if I sat and figured out how to use it. Anyway, looking for suggestions!

Also, if you have a printer, sometimes they come with a photo program. Mine came with Photo Impressions 5. And congrats on your little one!

ETA: if you go to WalMart, in the discounted software areas there might be some photo programs to buy for about $10.00

CONGRATS on the new baby...I don't have any new suggestions, but I would definately try the software that came with the camera. I've heard that it's not too shabby, I haven't play with it at all even though I have it, but that's only out of the convienence of having Photoshop.

The XT didn't come with photoshop??? That surprises me.

I would do the free download for 30 days and save up. You can get PSE 4.0 for about 100 bucks these days.
