I had a heck of a time choosing but in the end I had a $50 dollars off coupon for a rebel XT so I got that one.

I havent played with the settings much yet because the batter just finished charging.
Marissa is napping so the cat got some camera time.

sure beats my canon powershot :

CONGRATS. Enjoy it. Canon is an awesome brand and you will love it. And its funny your practicing on you cat first, I did the SAME thing after I got my 20D. None of the kids would hold still and tehre was an old farm cat just sitting there modeling for me. LOL

{BTW, I just answered your other thread, I'm a little behind today. }

it is an awesome camera but i cannot wait to get more lenses..
it just figures when i bought my camera they were sold out of any lenses! they were also sold out of batteries.. they had to order me in an extra battery . i decided i'd do more research on lenses so I didnt have them order one.
I was going to go to a different store but I had a 50 dollars off coupon and it was 37 degrees outside . Marissa does not like the heat so she was cranky.

just the kit . I'm planning on doing research then i'll go back to that store and order one or go to lens and shutter downtown and see what they have.

i've heard 50mm is good and its pretty cheap so i think i will buy that one plus another one .

my fiance was originally going to pay for the camera but I didnt want to wait any longer so now he'll buy me a couple lenses.

for DF, that's nice of him...don't let him forget. I know how hard it is to wait, I find myself NOT doing it all the time.

The 50mm is awesome, and it's a great price too...I love it!

The 50mm is a fantastic lens to start with. The 85mm is also a good one if you're looking to do mostly portraits.
