I try to keep my photography seperate from my kids. Ok so I take photographs of the kids, but I prefer my photographic subjects to be something other than the kids.
I see so many beautiful photographs posted here, and just reading the thread about putting your work up on the walls in the house, they're mainly photo's of kids. I only have one photograph of each of my kids on the wall, the rest are landscapes or flowers or whatever other stuff I've taken.
Am I the only one who tries to keep photography as my 'seperate from the kids' hobby?
I love to take pictures of other things too. I have a nice little nature/landscape collection and I'm looking for just the right photograph to hang in my daughters room. Now, to find a dandilion in this GA heat!
Take pictures of what you enjoy, I love to photograph people but I also did some really cool commercial work at a coffee house I worked at. I would like to see some of your stuff too if you'd like to post it. If I can get the commercial stuff onto the computer I will post it as well.
Prior to DS's arrival I mainly took pictures of landscapes & macro flowers. I liked to take occasional day trips out to find someplace nice to shoot....but since DS, well I don't get out as much. Or when I do Im too occupied to shoot.
But I dont think its strange to keep it as a somewhat separate hobby. And Ive seen the shots you have of the area you live in, and wow, they're so beautiful. They make me want to move.
