I know the focus is off... which is so hard to do with an automatic camera (Canon Powershot A70).. lol DH is not allowing me to buy a better camera until I have mastered this one.. he says if I can take good photos with a crappy camera then I'll be all set to learn a new one...

What a cutie! Love the costume. Great job on the background. I started with a cheapo digital camera and when I had that one down and lighting figured out I got a better one. Then when I was taking good pictures with that one I got my DSLR. So, I halfway agree with what your husband is saying. Keep it up. You'll be there in no time.

I'm thinking the fake lighting may be a bit too harsh... what do you guys think?

What a cute shot. Nice crop too! You did a great job of taking out the background. I do like where you're going with the lighting....but I think it is a bit much, as parts of his cheeks are blown out.
