Just wondering. The nearest store has one for $150, but it is still 30 minutes away. Is that a good price? Also, do regular backdrop stands hold seamless paper?

my hubby made mine for about 16 bucks out of PVC. The roll of seamless is too heavy for it, so I just unroll it backwards, and clip the edge to my bar, and roll it down, so it still works.

I made mine out of galvanized pipe. I bought the 34" one and then a 1/2" one and the smaller one slips inside the bigger one for easy transport. I drilled holes in both and I use a bolt and wingnut to adjust the length. Yes, it holds seamless. but...

for my seamless setup I screwed two big hooks into the ceiling joists and I hung an 8 foot length of 3/4" galvanized pipe with the roll of paper on it. It cost me a whopping $32! It's not going anywhere, but I have a studio now so I don't really need it to.

www.bhphotovideo.com sells them too.
