Did someone teach you, or did you just read the instruction manual and play around with it until you figured it out? I have Paint Shop Pro, and I can hardly do anything with it. I'd love to figure it out, but I really don't have time to sit down and read the book and mes around iwth it for any length of time. Just wondering how you guys learned how to do all the cool stuff you do.

That is exactly how you will learn. I have photoshop and know nothing about paint shop pro, but I am sure it is similar that you just need to spend time on it. I also bought books and use them for reference. There is no quick way to learn.
I have a friend who knows just about everything on photoshop and she's been teaching me. I also pretty much play around with it and figure things out on my own. I look up tutorials from time to time as well.

There is so much to learn. I would say that most of my learning comes reading what others do online (and tutorials) and just simply playing around with my program. I find the more I try to apply stuff the quicker it sticks. Also, I think its easiest to work on only trying to learn a few techniques each time until you really get them nailed.
Thanks, girls. I went and downloaded some tutorials from the Corel website, and I'm going to start trying to do a little bit every night that DH works. He just went back to work (working nights) this week, so I have a little more "just me" time right now.
I have photoshop. I did a two year course but i ended up having to drop out one year into it.
I just muck around, working things out. You can download tutorials... They are fantastic!! They tell you step by step on how to do certain things. I love them!
I also brought alot of books on photoshop and i love learning about it so it doesnt seem like a chore to me or anything.
