i am, but I am feeling TOTALLY overwhelmed!!!

I know have over 200 pics to proof. And they are ALL suppose to be ready by monday.

Not to mention the shoot I have on saturday they want christmas cards that I am going to have to make. OY!

part of me is feeling blah about it, cuz I am afraid to proof ALL these pics and then get NO ORDER again!!! I still have 3 other shoots I am waiting on orders for! GRRRRR its very frustrating!

I can so totally relate! Tis' the season! I've been up til about 2:00am the last three nights proofing and getting customers' galleries online. Then I have to go to work at 7:30 so I look like hell, but it's okay.

I've been averaging three shoots per weekend since I don't usually schedule them during the week. Of course most of them are families this time of year. I've got four this weekend. None next weekend though! YAY!!!! It should all pay off for Christmas though.

I recently changed my ordering policy. I give them two weeks to place their order with no minimum order amount, after two weeks the minimum is $150. It motivates people to get their orders in within two weeks. Most spend more than $150 anyway, so it's mostly psychological. LOL

Hang in there! It will be over soon and you will reap the benefits.

I am right there with you!! I am waiting on 3 orders as well, and have a couple this weekend. I just try to stay on top of it, or I will get so behind and other things will fall by the wayside.

I've been there! When I first started out people paid when they ordered. Gradually I did more weddings than portraits and wedding clients paid in full 2 weeks before the event. If I had to do it over again I would have required a deposit of some kind that would be used toward prints, but if they didn't order it wasn't refundable. I like Amber's idea as well of offering a certain amount of time to pay without a minimum, or you could say that orders within 14 days get 10% off or some other motivator. I have to say, I don't miss those days much

Just out of curiousity...when you guys are doing proofs about how many shots on average do you get ready for an order for a typical session?

I try to keep it under 40 with a few conversion option examples. Sometimes though, I post up to 65. Yikes! This last session I proofed could have been over 100, so I had to do some hard core cutting. I still ended up with 60. Oy vay!
