I want to do some indoor pics, but they are coming out horrible, because I don't have anything close to a good setup.

Is there some sort of mini or portable lighting kit?

I bought some muslin the other day for $1.00 a yard! (It was at Building 19, for anyone who lives in New England, I don't know if they have those stores anywhere else).

I don't have much room at all in this apt, and I don't have a nice yard that I could somehow hang the muslin outdoors, so I am stuck inside.

The pics in my siggy are the only ones that didn't come out blurry, and most of them you can see the shadow behind him.

You could try a soft box, it is still over $300 though.

To get rid of the shadows you can move your son forward a bit more so that the light drops off and doesn't create a shadow behind him. It depends on how large your living room is, though!
