Ok so I am new to this board. I have been taking pics for friends and family for a while, but that's pretty much the extent of my work. I took some pictures of my son recently, most of which I am pretty pleased with. One of the pictures I want to frame though, has some issues that I would like your help with. I have PSP.

The drool on his chin really bothers me, not because it's there, but beacuse of the way the light caught it. Is there a way to tone down the shine?

Also- there is a very obvious line through the entire picture. Is that from the machine it was printed on? I would say out of the 200 pictures I took, 15-20 have that line. Kinda irks me....

Anyway, and CC is welcomed, as well as tips on editing! thanks!

Cute pic...he looks so intense.
Hmm. I know photoshop you could clean up the drool with either a healing brush or the cloning tool. I know PSP should have the same type stuff, but I dont know the program.
I think the line sounds like something from the machine that printed it. Did you get it done at home? Or is it somewhere you could send it back?

Its good their local, that way you can go back and ask if they've been getting complaints about it showing up on other ppls prints too. They should reprint them for you though.

I try to stay away from walmart as much as possible because I have had so many problems with photos in the past. I have also had this problem as well. I never leave the store without opening my photos and picking out the ones that I don't want to pay for. They won't charge you for the ones you don't like. That's really one of the only things I favor about them. I hope you get reprints done at no charge.

PS, you have an amazingly adorable son =)

Are you shooting digital or with film? On some of my film shots I'll get that line, and what it is is a piece of dirt on the cannister when the film is pulled out. It scratches the negative and leaves the line. Annoying!
