Okay I have another Camera question

What is a good Canon camera for under 300.00?

What Im looking for is to be able to print 8x10 pictures. So how many Megapixels would I need?

I've heard that it's not in the MP itself, but how you take the picture. I think a 5 or 6 MP would blow up to 8 by 10 fine.

That being said, I am getting a Canon A630 which is 8 MP. lol. But only because I LOVE the way the camera is.

If you have a 5 or 6MP camera, it is plenty enough to make 8x10 shots. I once took a 4x6(film) and scanned it into the computer, raised the resolution and had it printed as a 20x30 for my mom, and it looks great! The Canon Powershots are great!

If i remember right a 4 MP camera will print up to an 11X14 quality picture w/o any cropping. a 5 MP will print around a 20X30 quality picture w/o cropping. if you get one with little zoom, i recommend getting a higher mp if you think you might to a bit of cropping now and then
