Any suggestions?

Ideas for newborn pics?

I got some coming up! I did their maternity pics (twice!) and was there at the birth, and now I get to do some of the sweet baby!

so when would be the best time? 2 weeks? Sooner?

As soon as possible...get them in the delivery room if possible. j/k But definately in the first 1-2 weeks mommy permitting. Good luck....Im hoping to find a way to do a newborn shot. Ive just got to steel up my nerve to ask one of the Dad's-to-be from work.

Im in NC; you almost can't get further away and still be in the US. Definately try to find someone to take some newborn shots....I really wish I had more of Jonas when he was that tiny. The early days, man they go by like a dreamy fog, a speedy but beautiful dreamy fog.

No kidding! Me having all the stuff I never arranged for anyone else to do it, and then those first two weeks were like a whirlwind, I never got in a "real" photoshoot until she was 3 or 4 weeks old, so shed lost that newborn look already

Ive already talked to the mom & hopefully well be able to get it done in the next week - maybe next weekend, hell by 1 1/2 weeks by then, so I want them done then at the latest!

Oh I would do it soon too, that way you can position the baby while (s)he is sleeping without any disturbance.

I *think* the number I've always heard is within the first 2 weeks if possible...after that, they tend to start losing that "curl" that just makes the newborn shoots so precious.
