Don't worry about that...Tell if you see something that I might be able to improve. That is the only way I am going to learn.

Here is another one I just did of Jeanne.

Thanks for pointing that out actually. I would never had noticed it but I see it right above her sleeve. It is the house next door to us. Thanks again.

Here is the third attempt. I still have trouble getting close to the edge.

good job! I'm not sure how you are doing it, but an easy way is to select the part you want to keep in color, then grayscale the rest B&W....super fast that way and the color remains....if you already have in B&W then select what you want in color and colorscale it.....not sure if that is the right word. But that's how I do it and I've turned the colors into whatever color I want that way.

I think Dava might have been the one to show me that....was it you Dava????

Great job, Shelley, I really like the first one, it looks great...yeah, a bit "out of the lines", but we all did when we first learned how to "color". I'm not as big of a fan of the 2nd too, (hope this is ok ), they're just a bit "much" for me...but I'm picky about selective coloring, I don't like to use it a ton. JMHO of course!

ETA: No Missica, wasn't me.

when i do selective coloring i put it all in grayscale and use the history brush to do my coloring. are you zooming in super far and using a very small pixel for the edges? that's what i was doing wrong in the begining. i also found that doing small amounts and then releasing my mouse helps too. then if you have to hit undo, you don't lose a ton of work. Good job with your starters though!

Thanks for the advice. This is one I just did by just adding color to the Santa hat. What do you think? After looking at the two I have to agree that they had to much color added to them.

I took the one of Jeanne where I had too much color in it the first time ago and took some suggestions and this is what I came up with.

Opps I just notice where I left some of the blue out of the hat near the hair.

And the Goose that I try it on last night.

Here is one that I did last night. I added the color of the bay back and the color of Laura's uniform and the pink socks that she sneaked out of the house with and too school. I would had never notice unless I had seen this picture.
