I was just wondering if any of you take the progestrone suppositories? If so is it okay that some of it comes out? Will it lessen the effects that some does come out? I just started using them yesterday and they are very messy. I put one in before bed and work up this morning feeling like i wet myself. I was just wondering if there is a way to make them not come out. I'm using a pad right now and prolly will until i don't use them anymore but i was wondering if any of you had some tricks.

LOL...welcome to progesterone! Yes, they are very messy and they account for that in the dosing. Keep a liner/pad on at all times and change it as needed. Someone on JM told me to do the night dose after I was already in bed and that helped a lot. If it's possible for you to lay in bed for a little while after the morning dose, that will help as well with the amount of mess, but if not just keep a liner on. Make sure you're getting them in far enough, too. They should have given you an applicator to help with this, as it can reach farther than your finger can (sorry if that's TMI). If they didn't, then ask for one.

I hope that helps. Feel free to ask more questions if you need to. Many of us have used them and can help out.

I don't really remember them being terribly messy--no more so than your standard yeast infection treatment. I just remember feeling homicidal while I was using them--so watch out for that.

Oh lovely progesterone!! I did the same thing Kathryn did and waited until I was in bed before inserting the suppository and it wasn't quite as messy. You do have to remember it's a hormone so you will have all the wonderful things that go along with it. I was a cranky, hungry, emotional wreck the whole 6 weeks I took it but in the end it was so worth it.
