Sorry I missed it . Our power was out, and so was almost everyone's (over 90% of our area). We are to the west of where the remnants of hurricane Ike passed and we had tropical storm force winds, with gusts up to 70 mph for about 8 hours. Luckily, no trees fell on our house (yet!), but we did lose a couple that are behind our house, as well as several large branches from our trees in the front, and our chimney cap.

Did anyone else get Ike's mess? Kathryn? Beckie? Any others?

Our power was out too...I am in Indiana though. We had bad winds yesterday so I am assuming it was remnants of Ike traveling up to us. I am sure it wasn't as bad as down south but we had a tree down from it. I am not sure why the power went out but it didn't come back until sometime after we went to bed last night. I hope everyone is still safe!

I was at work, and we were too busy for me to come in.

We're too far north east for Ike, he's heading for Ontairo. But we've got some super strong winds here today, my roomate placed my column fan in the patio door, laying down along the bottom, and it got blown out twice!

No power outages here. We are not that far from Houston and we didn't get a drop of rain. I couldn't believe it.

I think Nicole1022 & I are the only ones who made it & I made it really late..... It has been raining like cats & dogs for days, but thankfully it is supposed to let up now. I don't think our river could take one more day before it would come over the banks. I can't tell you that last time I saw it this high.

We got Ike on Saturday. It was sooooooo weird seeing (on a weather map) the eye of a hurricane pass over north east Oklahoma! I'm loving the cooler and dryer weather that came in behind Ike though. Feels like fall.

My brother is on the west side of Houston (Katy). They boarded up the windows and the only damage they had was to one tiny section of fence. They lost power for about 12 hours on Saturday. We were very thankful they were OK. My sitter's daughter and family live on the north side of Galveston county. They have a big hole in their roof, but other than that seem to be OK.
