Hi all, I am checking in to tell you that I am okay.

The storm hit and we didn't have much damage. Just a small tree that blew over. Some of our neighbors lost pieces of their fences. Others around the area with mature trees had more damage.

We got power back for just a couple hours on Saturday, then off again. Then power came back on Sunday morning and has been on since. We are very lucky since so many are doing without. Our power lines are underground so I think that's why ours was restored so quickly.

All my family was affected but everyone is okay and no major damage.

I am at work now since I am essential personnel at the hospital. I came up here in part because I knew I could at least get on the internet for a short time. We don't have internet at home.

My brother, SIL and niece are staying with us since they think it will be 2 weeks before they get power, but I don't know how long they will be with us because they may go stay with friends who live closer to their house later.

I have not had any more spotting since that one little bit of brown on Friday night, so for now I am just waiting to go into my doctor's appointment on Wednesday (assuming they are open). I really think the spotting was from irritation to my cervix from my progesterone suppositories. Twice I have inserted it just a little two far I think and had a tiny bit of pink on the applicator afterwards. And the brown spotting happened one day after one of those times so I think I probably nudged my cervix with the applictor.

I am doing okay but a little on edge today. It is difficult to have company even if it is my family. My emotions are all over the place and I kind of want to wait until they leave before I have my ultrasound because on the off chance that it was bad news, I don't want them there. I don't want to be bawling and have them in my house and have my 5 year old niece constantly wanting my attention and not understanding that I'm upset (she doesn't know I'm pregnant). So as horrible as it is, I am hoping they'll go stay with their friends after tonight.

Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers! I will try to get online and update on Wednesday after my doctor's appointment if I get internet back on at home or if I go to work. If not, maybe I will try to text someone how it goes.

Glad you are doing alright and that you made it through the hurricane.

I had spotting because of suppositories with my son. They ended up putting me on shots (no fun, but no more spotting) because of the irritation.

I'm glad you made it through without too much damage.

I'll be praying for you and your baby, and hoping that you get your u/s on Wednesday!

Glad you and your family are safe. I'd call the office today and confirm they are open. Last thing you want to find out tomorrow. Maybe they can schedule you at the hospital if they are closed. (Using the spotting as the excuse for the emergency one)

Very relieved to hear that you are safe and that your house wasn't damaged. My brother is in Katy and had a similar damage report to yours.

I had some brown tinging with my progesterone, too. I complained to my doc that I thought I had a yeast infection because of how irritated and itchy things were. He laughed - yes laughed - and said, "Good, that means the progesterone is working. And no, you don't have an infection." Hopefully that's all it is for you as well.

I am so glad everything was okay with the storm. I spotted early on - even before the prog. Many of us have. I know that isn't too comforting though - as it can be normal & you already know that.... I really hope your family gets the heck out of your house so you can have your u/s in peace & come on here & tell us ALL about it! Keeping you & your bambino in our thoughts & prayers as always!
