Yesterday marks one year since I lost my first baby. I would have posted then but I was battling a nasty computer virus.

I don't even know what to say other than it still hurts. It's different and not as all consuming, but it's still with me.

I put flowers at his memorial spot and that helped. It just makes me so sad to look at his ultrasound pictures and know that he never had a chance. I just wish he had had a chance. I'm so grateful to be pregnant again, but this baby doesn't replace him. I wish I could have them both. I think I just need to let myself be sad about it for a little while.

Oh Shannon - as always you made a beautiful tribute to Thomas. I am certain he is watching over you right now & knows how much he is loved. 100 babies would never replace the ones we have lost. There is not replacing them. It is okay to move forward though & to come to peace & heal & to be happy again & excited for a new baby. It isn't in any way making Thomas less special or less loved. It just makes him a big brother.

Much love to you hun!

Thomas' garden spot just gets more and more beautiful, Shannon! I know he's watching over you and this little one. He's right there with you, sharing every moment. And it's OK to be sad, too. EDD's, especially the first one, can be pretty emotional. Feel what you need to feel and know that we're all here for you.
