Hello there girls! I'm Sharron, some of you may know me from the General Spirituality board or if you've visited one of our reading nights. Your lovely host Augie has invited me here to run (if you would like) a "Sunday Surgery". I have popped over today just to explain what it's about for you all and if you like the idea, we can start properly next week.

I'm qualified as a crystal healing therapist and will be starting my reiki next year. I also work with angels and as some of you know, do angel card readings from time to time when I have time to spare here on JM. Obviously when I say "Sunday Surgery" this is really more about spiritual & emotional health and comfort although some health concerns, symptoms and imbalances can be eased or relieved with use of energy healing.

Each Sunday I will post up a thread where you can ask a question (likely straight after I've done the "surgery" for that week). It can be a question about a health concern, a physical imbalance, an emotional worry, something for spiritual development, or an issue that you're looking for clarity or reassurance on. Or it could be a general question about using crystals, working with angels, etc, if you're interested in those things.

Usually this will be one question per member per week, but this week, please feel free to ask as many questions as you like about the types of questions that would be suitable or just anything in general about starting this up, or use this thread to have your say about it and say whether or not you like the idea. I will try to be around during the week a little this week, so I can field any questions and I'm sure Augie will be able to answer some of them for you, too.

Then, the following Sunday I will come back and draw an angel card and a crystal card for everyone who has asked a question, and try to answer the question in light of the guidance from the cards and also drawing on my experience with energy healing.

I'm a little nervous so feel free to say what you feel about this feature, but be kind!

Look forward to meeting you all xxx

This week follows a New Moon on Saturday and is a great time for changing a pattern, releasing the old or consciously making a wish. Feel free to ask me questions about how to work with that kind of energy or do any of these things...if you're not sure what to ask or how to ask, check out last week's Sunday Surgery - the girls asked some cracking questions in just the right way!!

As a quick guide, if you can make your questions requests for guidance in a particular area that would be helpful. I can't do yes/no answers for many reasons - not least because your free will and your decision making is important for your own spiritual growth.

Your reading for this week was awesome! And my question for this week is similar to last weeks.

I'm a very shy person by nature. I'm bubbly and friendly, but I will never be the first to talk out. It's never led me wrong, but it bothers me. What can I do, or where should I look to be more foreward?

And on another note, is there any element I should be carrying with me (I love elemental jewelery lol.. and we have an awesome store for it at home. Any reason to shop right?) for this?

Hi popping in here.I have something that I need help with.

Where is my will power to quit smoking? I have tried many times to quit smoking and I just can't seem to do it. The cravings and addiction is just to strong for me. I want to quit before we start TTC again in a few months and desperately need help.

this is really neat.

I take so much pain and frustration out on my DH, although I know it's horrible, and I feel guilty for doing so. But try as I might he takes the brunt of my negative emotions. I've been doing some healing to help me stop doing this, but I would love some extra guidance.

(hope it's not too late for me to ask!)

Your first question lends itself more to an angel card and your second to a crystal card so I did it that way this week for you, I hope that's ok.

I'm a very shy person by nature. I'm bubbly and friendly, but I will never be the first to talk out. It's never led me wrong, but it bothers me. What can I do, or where should I look to be more foreward?

The angels have been quite enigmatic in offering you the CLAIRCOGNIZANCE card here. This card is all about paying attention to your intuition and trusting that what you feel to be the right way forward, often is. It suggests that the answer to your question lies within your own heart. Perhaps you have been feeling you should put yourself forward more. Maybe you have been offered an opportunity to do some assertiveness training, a spiritual workshop or to join a group of some kind. Doing activities like this would help you. Archangel Uriel, who brings this message, is very much an archangel of action and manifestation, so working with him would help you. You can invoke him with the simple fiat chanted three times: "Uriel, make me an instrument of your peace!" or by repeating his name three times. He also responds well to emails asking him for help in a certain situation. On a personal level, I think the only way to move forward from shyness and timidity is to take risks. Put yourself forward, once or twice, and as you see that it gets you places when done in a polite and selfless way, your fear will fall away. I was extremely shy in my teens and early adulthood and it's taken a lot of work to get to be a confident person, but that's how I did it. It's not easy to overcome but you will feel a great sense of achievement when you do overcome it. Speaking up for yourself, your needs and your truth is a spiritual, wholesome and life-affirming thing to do.

And on another note, is there any element I should be carrying with me (I love elemental jewelery lol.. and we have an awesome store for it at home. Any reason to shop right?) for this?

This fits in nicely with Archangel Uriel's energy, funnily enough: the element you need to work with is Earth. As well as through jewellery you can do this by taking walks in nature, gardening, working with faery energy and working with crystals - particularly those which are black and red in colour. Tying in with Uriel, he very much resonates with specimens that contain more than one mineral, so things such as ruby in zoisite would bring a link in there. Bloodstone is the card I have drawn for you so this is another option - and the keyword here is COURAGE. Grounding and earthing stimulates your root chakra, from which courage is boosted.

Before I even draw any cards for you let me mention the crystal ametrine. Its energy helps to break the chain of addiction, especially if you wear it as jewellery. It's inexpensive if you can get it, and if you can't, use both amethyst and citrine as alternatives.

It sounds very important that you do this right now, as you will need to be getting your body into optimum health ready for TTC. Turquoise has come up for you which represents WHOLENESS - so to me it's like your body is not fully ready until you take this step. This is a storm card and the energy of the storm indicates change is brewing or change is needed. Turquoise is a stone all about speaking your truth: can I ask you, are there a number of people around you who smoke? Has that been a hindrance and a temptation in your path before when you have tried to quit? Have you been supported well by your partner and family in trying to quit?

The angels give you the card LEADERSHIP - Archangel Gabriel is calling upon you to take a decisive lead in this situation. I feel like you should speak to the people closest to you and perhaps ask if there is anyone willing to quit with you so you can spur each other on and so there will be less temptation in your path. I would talk to those you spend the most time with and especially your partner, too, and lay the ground rules, whether they will go along with you or not. Ask for their help, support and understanding from the get-go and say what it is that you find too tempting or off-putting. Explain how important it is to you. Also, be pro-active. Speak to your doctor or nurse about what you can do for the best chances of success; find out if there is a local support group for quitting smoking for health reasons. This is about you being strong from the outset and being an example to others as well as doing this for yourself and your future child.

Augie:

We're working on paying down debt and paying for our upcoming wedding. What is the best way for us to go about this?

The angels are telling me you need to do a LIFE REVIEW, and Archangel Jeremiel is on hand to help you with that if you call on him. In this context, this would mean examining all your finances, piece by piece. (The girls at the financial planning board might be able to help, they're a whizz at this sort of stuff!) Look at your ingoings and outgoings and see if there is anywhere you can cut back as well as paying off your debts. It's a small sacrifice to live without a few luxuries for the sake of your wedding. Also, life review is probably about preparing yourselves for this exciting new phase of your life, too. Think about how you would like married life to be. Look at your home and your possessions and decide if everything in it still serves you. You may wish to spring clean, sort out, and do a garage sale or car boot sale or sell unwanted things on ebay - this can be a good money-spinner, too!

PYRITE has come up and the keyword here is MALE POWER. This seems to speak to me that your partner is a key to this situation. Is there anything more he can do to release or make more money? Does he have any ideas about ways to make a little extra or ways to save? There may be something he's holding back on or that's just in front of his nose that he hasn't yet considered, which could really help. Pyrite is otherwise known as 'fools' gold', and it can be an indicator of abundance to come, but it can also be an indicator of money being wasted someplace, which would tie in with the message of the angels. It's about sitting down together and looking honestly at a full and frank picture of your finances, and both of you making a fair compromise and sacrifice, and putting in an equal amount of effort to accrue the money you need for this wonderful event in your lives. Make sure you are not the only one to compromise or make an effort. It's important as a footing for your successful marriage that you make an absolutely equal effort here.

I take so much pain and frustration out on my DH, although I know it's horrible, and I feel guilty for doing so. But try as I might he takes the brunt of my negative emotions. I've been doing some healing to help me stop doing this, but I would love some extra guidance.

I would like to start by saying I really admire that you have recognised this pattern and that you are working on yourself to heal it before it becomes an issue between you and your dh. That is so commendable and so spiritually aware - more power to you, girl!

It seems to me that the angels are echoing this because Archangel Uriel has come forward to say YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO. In other words, you are taking exactly the right course of action to correct this imbalance. It is right that you need to stop this habit and you are already taking action to make this manifest. Of course, it's important that you find ways to release your stress and negative emotions. It's no good bottling them up instead of transferring them to dh - this will only cause more pain and even physical problems within your own energy system if not addressed. The crystal energy prevalent in your life right now is RUBY for which the key word is LIFE FORCE. That tells me that yoga or meditation is not the way to de-stress for you. You need something entailing rather more action and an outlet for any pent-up aggression. Something like kick-boxing or martial arts would be fantastic for you - or some kind of vigorous exercise, so if you've ever thought of taking up a sport this would be a wonderful time for it. Failing this, something demanding hard physical work like gardening would be good for you. By the way, shoot your negative energy off the ends of your fingertips at the plants and trees! They won't be harmed for it - they love it! Just like they transmute CO2 into oxygen for us, they transmute negative aggression into positive energy. Take it out on them, they thrive on it!

Colour healing with red will help bring balance - that sounds crazy as it's the "red" characteristics you need less of - but you need to work on healing your root chakra. When you are more grounded and this chakra is more stable, you will be able to channel your feelings and express them much better. Particularly, when you feel angry and feel like you might snap at dh, start by visualising that red anger energy, and see it fading lighter, and lighter, until you have a beautiful pink colour. Then send that pink light to dh, and use it to surround your heart. Take ten seconds to do that before you blow your top and it might just make the difference.

I will be skipping a week next week. I have been very drained starting back to work as I didn't get much of a Christmas break - back the week after so be thinking up some toughies for me!

Please do let me know if any of this has helped you in retrospect, or not - it's useful feedback for me.

I shall leave you for the time being with love, light and - back next Sunday to post up a request thread for the following week xxx
