OMG, I feel lighter than air right now. I have no tears to cry because I feel I don't need to anymore.

This is just prelim results, it could change, but if they are right it IS NOT CANCER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

However it is treated the same way cancer is treated.

It is a rare blood disease that from everything I can tell is HIGHLY treatable. Only about 1 in 200,000 children have it. It is called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis, or LCH.

So, assuming prelims turn into finals, he will start treatments, get it away from his airway, we will arrange home health and onc clinics, and he will come home.

I truly beleive this is an answered prayer!

I can now take him out of his room. He can go to the lobby, the playroom, ride in the wagon. This is the best feeling in the world right now!

I responded on his care page, but I want to say I let out a huge sigh of relief when I read the news. It was all I could do, to not rush over here and post it. (I wanted to give you a chance. ) I had to work today (the first day since I read the news) and the entire time, all I could think about was wanting to get home so that I could check to see if you had gotten any more news. I am beyond thrilled at the moment. I am so glad to hear such wonderful news.

I just have to remember prelim results, we're waiting on the stains to come back for the finals. So they still have to finish the testing BUT the doctor was all grins when she told us.
