Well ladies, the prelim results are the final results. Joey has Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. We are starting treatment tonight. If he responds and if we don't have to go to salvage treatment he should be home in a few weeks, on continued treatment. PRAISE GOD! I can not tell you how relieving this is.

However he is in 2 risk categories making him more likely to have to go to salvage treatment (he has a 20% chance of salvage treatment). The first being he is under age 2. the second being vital organ involvement (lungs, liver). But it is NOT in his bones! This is a PLUS for us.

So LCH is the final diagnosis, treatment starts tonight, and he will be on numerous meds but he will hopefully be home in just a few weeks.

Thank heaven! I am so glad the news seems to be promising (I don't even want to dare say "good" since I know any health issue isn't "good" news really). As always - keeping you & Joey in thoughts & prayers.
