Finally, after a long 2-1/2 weeks we are home with Joey! He is sleeping peacefully, and we are all adapting to our new lifestyle, which is exactly what everything is. He's seeing his ped tomorrow (who will get a tongue lashing from me then we will switch to CHOC ped's), his Oncologist on Friday, and his next Clinic at OPI (out patient infusion clinic) on Monday (for Chemo and maybe another blood transfusion if needed).

Yay! I'm so glad he's home. I wish you the best of luck as you adjust to the lifestyle changes.

Oh hun I am so sorry this has turned into such a difficult time for you & Joey. I know it must feel good to be home, but I also imagine that juggling all of these appointments while caring for a sick baby & two other children has to be daunting. Heck I feel like my life is daunting many times & it's not as challenging as yours is right now. I really wish I could come to see you, or make you dinner for a few nights or something to make it easier. At times like these it always helps a little to have others try & pitch in to ease your load. I AM sending lots of thoughts & prayers your way though & if there is anything we can ever do for you please just say so! We want to love & support you through this too!

I'm glad to hear that Joey got to come home! I know how tough it is to have little ones around and I hope that your transition to this 'new' lifestyle isn't a difficult one.

the biggest adjustment is the fear of germs. In the past I didn't really worry too much about a slight fever or the stomach flu or a cold and now all of those are scary for us. I'm trying to remember the kids have to be kids, but we also have to be more cautious than we were before.
