"Joey had his chemo today. The most he fussed was because he did not want to be held, he wanted down and to be moving around. They also did blood draws so hopefully we hear good results from those. I'd love to hear that his counts are staying good and he doesn't need a transfusion. But if he needs a transfusion, at least I know theres a reason behind it, and it's not going to be forever. And if he does need one we spend 3 hours at OPI (outpatient infusion) so he can get it.
We took him to church yesterday. I just feel it is important to do something normal in all of this and I knew church was relatively safe, plus his numbers last week were really good so we felt it would be safe enough to go. It was good to have him doing something relatively normal. I may even consider going to a small playdate soon if his numbers stay good. That would be good for everyone!
So chemo treatment 4 down, 2 more before we re-assess him with x-rays and CT scans and maybe even an MRI and bone scans. Then we find out if we go for 6 more weeks of this treatment, or if we go to continuation or if we have to go to salvage treatment. I pray that we go to continuation!"
Thanks to Jaidynsmum for my siggy!
