Hi ladies, sorry I've been MIA for SO long. First everyone in the house was sick and just as we thought everyone was over it Joey started getting low grade fevers, never high enough for admission and off and on, but still a cause for close monitoring. Then a week ago his temp hit 102.6 and we were direct admitted back to the oncology unit at Miller's. It was there we were told he had RSV and I started panicking because of all the things we had been told would happen if he got RSV this year... we had been told if he got it we would end up on PICU and he may need to be placed on a vent. Luckily it stayed minor and he came home Tuesday Night. But even once he was home he had to have breathing treatments every 4 hours. Friday at clinic his lungs were clear but yesterday he was a bit wheezy. Today he's doing better and no signs of RSV.
Then last night DJ wound up in the ER because we had found a mass in his back and it was very painful for him. Luckily, after some testing, it turns out to be a Lipoma... just a fatty tumor. So he will be having it removed at some point but its not cancer or histio, which is what I was really scared about...
But now that drama and sickiness has died down here, I am back. I will try to catch up over the next day or so.
Oh my goodness...sounds like a week to not be had again anytime soon. I am glad things have calmed down again. It's ok to mia...you have good cause! If you need to vent and whatnot then go ahead and do it!
