I got a referral from my OB but we decided not to go. We don't know that we are going to try again so why go through the testing. We have to pay up front then get reimbursed so we didn't really feel that it was meant to be. Weird but it felt like we were meant to look forward not back.
Our OB refered us was we did like one month with the RE before we decided we did not want to go down that rabbit hole as we had adopted kids and each a biological child, just not together. Six months later we were pregnant.
I had 1 and it was through her that I found out about my genetic condition and I got pg with Makenna my 1st cycle with my RE. I was referred and it was the best TTC decision we made. I like knowing what I'm up against and why. If we never went to the RE we would have never found out about my balanced Robertsonian Translocation since our family Dr wouldn't have known to test for it.
