I am in the middle of my second loss in three months time. I'm afraid to try again, but I'm also afraid not to. I don't want to be a member of this board, but I'm so glad it's here.

*hugs* I am so sorry for your loss.

Have your Dr and yourself talked about further options? I know most don't do much until 3 losses.

I am so sorry Rachel

I had years of infertility then I had two perfect pregnancies, after that I had three losses really close together. Now I am 29 weeks pregnant.

Nothing I say is going to make you feel better. But I know that in order for there to be rainbows there has to be rain. With my second loss my Dh and I were paranoid as I had just lost a baby 3 months before and even though I was very lightly staining we went in to see the doctor. The U/S showed that there was no blood flow to baby and no heart beat and that baby had been at 7 weeks 3 days.

The most incredible thing happened as we were driving home. It was sunny and raining and we saw our first rainbow we had seen in a long time. The end of the rainbow was on the left hadn side of the road about two car lenghths ahead of us. It was very strong and bright and i had never seen the end of the rainbow like that before in my life. Of course I was crying and amazing as it seems the road turned and we drove right under that rainbow.

10 weeks later I had a chemical pregnancy. Then in Jan 2010 I came to JustMommies and found that a Rainbow baby is a baby born after a loss and now I am 3/4 of the way to my rainbow baby.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I had 3 losses in a 9 month span before I got pg with DD1 and remember those dark days all to well (especially after my 4th loss 2 months ago). I remember just wanting to TTC almost immediately because I wanted a child so badly and couldn't let the fear rule my life. Some people like to take time to emotionally heal and others like myself find healing in TTC'ing right away. Whatever you decide will spark new fears and emotions.

Welcome (as much as I hate to welcome new members here since we all know why we're here). It's definately bittersweet.

Oh Rachel I'm sorry, I didn't even know you and your DH were trying for another!

I've had more losses than I care to admit most days, but I'm up to 10 angel babies now.

I'd see your dr and see if he has any suggestions.

HUGS

I'm so sorry for your losses. I know it's not fun going a board like this one but the women here are truly great.

*hugs* Rachel. I'm so sorry to have to welcome you here. When you feel ready, please add your family to the dates sticky. Also, you have my cell number, call me any time you need someone to talk to. Are you considered to be of "advanced maternal age"?

Im so sorry Rachel

When my DH and I first started TTC we had 3 losses within the first 4 months. Then went on to have another...and havent gotten pregnant again since, and its now been 20 months since we first started. I've heard of lots of people having back to back losses and then going on to have a healthy pregnancy almost right away, and on the other hand i've also heard of there being an underlying problem (like in our case) I hope you decide to at least talk to your OB and get some tests run.

I am going to see what's up. I really think it's hormonal. Since my first m/c in March, my periods have been super light and that is not normal for me, so I really think that I do have some hormonal deficiency. He did check my progesterone last Monday, but he didn't mention that number to me when he called last Thursday. I will ask him about that when he calls me tomorrow with the result of my last blood test (today).

Rachel, if it helps, my mom had back to back m/c between 36-38. She got pregnant at 39 and was convinced it would fail. It didn't - my twin brothers were born when she (and my dad) were 40. They are happy, healthy, annoying 18 year olds now. One of them even has a serious girlfriend.

My mom had a lot of health issues to overcome, and she did. I know that if she can do it you can too.

I know how you feel. My first pregnancy was great and we have been trying for several years for another one. We lost one in January and just recently lost another. I'm scared to try again because I don't want to go through the pain of loosing another one, but I really want another baby. Just know that you are not alone! Hugs!!
