If you could go back and not have any of the issues you have, what would be your idea of a perfect birth? (i.e. epi? home? induction? etc...)

Besides the outcome of Makenna being in the NICU due to MAS (Meconium Aspiration Syndrome) I had my ideal birth with both of my girls. I wouldn't change a thing and especially with Maddie because I knew what was going on, I enjoyed my labour and delivery.

They were both born in a hospital (I was high risk) but I wasn't forced to do anything, it was a very pro BF'ing hospital and the nurses assumed everybody is going to BF unless told otherwise, and I only pushed for 10 min with each of them and never broke a sweat. I was up and around in no time and felt great. No scary horror stories here.

Nykoal I wanna move there! My sister gave birth at our local hosp. Within a couple hours of her being there they gave her pitocin because she wasn't progressing fast enough for them. Then they c-sectioned her and the nurse told her "I know you were going to NEED one from the beginning." Brit and Des were never in any danger/distress and Brit had gone into labor on her own.

I would love a home water birth.

Other than the passing of Ethan, his birth was pretty amazing. Beautiful and peaceful. I was hoping for a repeat with Grant, but no dice. He refused to descend. Or hold still. Or cooperate in any way, until we switched a section. Picky kid.

I would change Grace being 6 weeks early and being born under pretty scary circumstances, but I wouldn't change a thing about her actual birth. I'd always wanted an all natural birth, so having her without any meds was perfect for me. It was an awesome experience once it was all said and done.

You know.... if I do get pregnant again I am really going to try to get my ideal birth. I want to have a water birth.... the first time around I'll do it in a birthing center, but I would love to eventually have a wather birth at home!

My labor/delivery with both of my kids was rather uneventful, so I *hope* that will remain the same in the future.
