Has anyone had an endometrial biopsy?

Has anyone had a Hysteroscopy?

I have to call around ovulation time to schedule the two of these. I have read some stuff on-line and it has me scared. I am just curious who has had them and their experiences.

I haven't had either. Hopefully someone here has. (If not, you should be able to find someone on the ttc w/ma board.)

I also haven't had either. I had an HSG which is similar to a Hysteroscopy. I hope you find someone who has some answers for you!

I had both.
They aren't bad at all. The endo biopsy hurts a TINY but, but not much. More of like a scraping feeling to me.
The hysteroscopy, they put you to sleep, so you wake up feeling a little sore, but other than that, nothing.

Good luck!!!! Let us know the results!

They didn't put me to sleep, just froze my cervix. I got to watch the whole thing on the screen. It was a little uncomfortable but very interesting to watch.

When they froze my cervix there was a pinch and it felt very uncomfortable but after that I was fine. No cramping or anything.

I've had 2 endo biopsies. Both times they weren' bad but I also made sure I took a couple of Aleve an hour prior to the procedure. There was some mild cramping but that was all. Then again, I have a high pain tolerance since I had Endometriosis.

I've have a Sonohystogram as well. Pretty much you name it and I've had it. Feel free to ask me any questions.

I've had 4 biopsies during my life, only had one that hurt more than two hours, I drove myself home each time.

Good Luck..

Nope. I just took the Aleve an hour before and that was it. No numbing meds or drugs. I'm scheduled for a SHG next month some time and I think I'm going to bring in my iPod and use it to distract and relex me. Perhaps you could bring something in with you to distract you. It'll be okay.
