Hi Everyone,
I was on this board more last year after my second loss but havent been on much recently.
I am just going through my 3rd loss. It has been a year since the last one and its still just as hard. We have been TTC for 22 months now. This past cycle that we got our bfp on we had just gone to see a new RE and had a plan in place for some infertility testing and then possibly IUI.
Once i found out i was pg I had them do the blood work. First came back normal. Second didnt show a progression. Bleeding started today. I go in tomorrow to see what the level is now. If its not zero then we have to wait a whole cycle more before getting back on our track with testing plans( like fsh testing and hsg). I have atleast asked the my RE look into why this keeps happening to us. We had some general tests done by my OB after the second one but not any genetic testing which is what I think she may do. Hopefully we can do that soon atleast.
I know they say that many woman go through losses and even repeat losses but I cant help but wonder why this happens to us. Im still just upset and confused.

I'm so sorry Holly

I just got my "answer" a couple of months ago, after having 4 miscarriages. I have a mutation of the MTHFR gene, and am missing Metfolin, which is necessary to convert folic acid into what it needs to be to be fully absorbed. So my body was only absorbing about 50% of the folic acid I was taking. He put me on RX prenatals with the Metfolin in it that I'm missing. We also found out I have some form of Thrombophilia, which is a blood clotting thing, so blood clots could have been a cause as well.

Both of my problems can be treated while TTC'ing and pregnant, with the RX prenatals, baby aspirin, and Heparin. So there is hope. Even if something is wrong, just keep in mind that a lot of the stuff that causes repeat mc's is treatable. Good luck, and you'll be in my prayers if that's okay.

Judy, it seems like we have gone through each of our losses around the same time each time. I am so sorry for your loss as well. I hope we can get answers soon!

My Fiance's ex and his son live here, so this will be our home when he finishes working on the road. We've been here for a month, and are here until we head to Canada (where I'm from) in August. I'm hoping to get to see Milwaukee before we leave (since I might not get to come back for a long while ) he avoids the city like the plague!

Thanks, I hope so too!! That is a sad coincidence that we had our losses at the same time.

I have the opposite situation with a girl from one of my other boards. She had the same EDD as I had with my first pregnancy, and had that baby. And now she's pregnant AGAIN and has the same EDD as I had this time! It's so weird. I don't begrudge her but cmon what are the odds of that!!
