This is one of the boards I NEVER wanted to be a part of. :'( I need to hear from other ladies though that are going through what I am. I just can't handle the TTC boards right now.

I had my first miscarriage in May. It was a missed miscarriage and the timeline is a little fuzzy to me now, but the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks, but I didn't find out something was wrong until my ultrasound at 7 weeks and there was no heartbeat. We did another at 8 and 9 weeks and nothing. My body wasn't getting the message, so eventually I had a D&C. I waited for my period to come back and then tried again the next cycle. That pregnancy ended around 4 weeks in August and I went naturally that time. It wasn't awful pain-wise, but I bled for my entire 2 weeks of vacation in WA this summer. Now, here I am again the day after finding out that I am going to miscarry for the third time. I feel completely hopeless. Somehow I really felt that the third time was going to work. We were really getting excited about it and I was going to be due around when my daughter was born in June. I thought it was a sign that everything would be ok. I was completely blindsided yesterday when I found out my numbers were going down. I'm not spotting, cramping, nothing, but I know from my chart and my numbers that I will be miscarrying soon.

I can't believe I'm back at square one again and now I'm worried that I will never have another successful pregnancy. My OB doesn't test until you have had 3 losses, so I plan to make them test me for EVERYTHING. The only thing I know is that my progesterone number was decent, so I don't think that was the problem. I can't think of what else could be wrong though. I don't think the blood clotting issue causes this early of losses? I'm starting to feel like it was a miracle that I ever had my first baby - who is 16 months now.

Anyways, enough rambling. I'll be reading through your stories and hopefully getting a glimmer of hope that this isn't it for me. Thanks for listening.

I am so sorry for your losses

My three losses were around 8 weeks and with my current pregnancy my progesterone was low to begin with and I had tested positive for a clotting disorder. I don't know if it was the Prometrium or the Aspirin that kept things going or the combo of the two.

My T&P are with you and I hope they are able to give you some answers after testing.

*HUGS* I'm sorry to hear about your losses.

Most of mine were caused by the fact I was on the pill/nuva ring at the time and my lining was bad.

with out the testing it's hard to really figure out why you're miscarrying. If you haven't started bleeding yet, you could get in to see your doctor for a quick blood test to check your levels of both the beta and your hormones. Remember, until the witch shows you aren't out yet.

I have another beta test tomorrow to see if my levels continue to drop. On Wed they were 15. By Friday they had doubled to 33. On Monday though they had dropped to 20. My progesterone was 17 on Wed. My only guess is that maybe something is wrong with my lining or I just have really awful luck. Is there anything specific that i should be asking to have checked?

*hugs* Like I mentioned on PL, I'd look into clotting disorders and thyroid. My RE told me that if a clotting disorder is the cause the loss(es) will occur any time from 6 weeks on.

I'm so sorry! Hugs... this all sounds so familiar... Like you I wanted to be tested for everything, I just had to know what was wrong.

The ladies here have posted some good ideas. It could be genetic errors too. Have you considered a karyotype on your current pgcy? If so, they recommend a D&C so that have a more intact sample. It's what I did for my #3. I thought it would be difficult, emotionally, but the doctors and nurses were all so kind, considerate and sensitive, it actually helped me to not feel so alone. And it helped also to know that I was being proactive for my future babies. Once I got the results (there were genetic errors) we were able to try a new medical procedure moving forward, PGD, which resulted in our twins.

I really hope the next bean is a sticky one!
