Hi everyone, I know I kind of dropped off the face of the Earth but we weren't TTC anymore and for a long time were just trying to figure out what to do and be happy with our new puppy.

I pretty much quit coming to JM altogether because it was a reminder and as selfish as it sounds/is... I needed a clean break. I deleted my blog and tried to stop thinking about it altogether and I ended up happier than I've been in years.

In July we got the ball rolling for adoption, and we are meeting with a social worker on Nov 14 and Nov 22 (in her office then in our home).

And we weren't preventing. I'm 12 DPO today (approx, guessed from CM), and I tested a VERY VERY faint positive but it's there. Either that or the nastiest evap I've seen in my life.

3 out of 4 of my pregnancies ended before 5 weeks, so at this point I'm not really getting my hopes up.

Aww thanks!
Yaknow, even if this doesn't work out I think I'm going to start coming onto JM once a week or so just to keep up with everybody, I'm realizing now how much I like being here even if I'm not in the same place anymore (well, now I am). And if it does work out, I'll try not to be on here 24/7 like I was before

This pregnancy not doing anything different, still prednisone, baby aspirin and progesterone supplements, of course prenatals.
The only thing I'm doing different is that now I belong to a gym (started 2 months ago) and I'll keep going to the aquagym classes and the pilates and yoga (I'll let the teachers know I'm pregnant and take any modifications into account).
I dont know what role stress plays exactly in miscarriage, but if it plays one at all, I know exercise does work for me to reduce it and I didn't have that before so hopefully that will help.
I think being fitter might make a difference. I've also changed up my diet and have been eating more veggies and more whole grains which has really helped with the digestive problems I've had for years so perhaps it'll help with this pregnancy, too.
One last thing is that I work in the afternoons/evenings now and so I will be able to get some sleep in the mornings when I feel like I need it most when I'm pregnant.

welcome back! I hope this is nice and sticky for you!

it looks like you've made some awesome lifestyle changes, all of which can totally affect the way your body handles a pregnancy. Hopefully that and your medications will help get you to a h&h 9 months!

Well, that was either a convincing evap yesterday or a very very early loss. Test was CLEARLY negative this morning (13 dpo with FMU) and I don't have symptoms anymore.
I'm ok though. A bit disappointed but I'm fine because we're meeting the social worker on Nov 14th. It helps to know that no matter what we are still on the path to parenthood.

I'm sorry... But it sounds like you've made some very positive changes... I hear that diet can play a big role in overall immune health, which can affect pregnancy, so I'll be praying the next one is it for you!!!

I'm sorry. Maybe it was just a fluke test, I've had a few of them the past year, after years of never seeing one like that. They seriously look positive, faint & others can see it, & then the next tests I took were all very negative. I hope you get your little one soon.
