I saw my RE and got the test results from my last D&C. She said most of the cells were normal but they found that some had a random chromosomal error. Not one of the common trisomies but just some random misplacement of genetic material.. so I guess in one sense this is good. She said this tells us that this time it was probably bad luck/a fluke. But since she thinks there must be something going on regardless since it's unlikely that all three were flukes, she's rerunning the autoimmune panel we had done in the past (APA, lupus, some other stuff) and adding in a test for ANA (antinuclear antibodies). We decided I'm going to take fragmin in the TWW from now on just in case it IS some autoimmune issue even if these tests come back negative.

So if I'm not pregnant this cycle I'll start cycle monitoring and take progesterone, baby aspirin and fragmin in the TWW. She also said if I get impatient waiting to get pregnant, I can take menopur which is an injectable but I'm not sure I want to go there yet.

I had three losses that were DX and my doctor says that it was bad luck and old eggs. My first loss was a blighted ovum, my second was fetal demise and my third a chemical pregnancy.

I hope your new plan works! I'm not familiar with Fragmin or Menopur. Is Menopur one of the FSH injectibles? My RE wanted to do Bravelle, but we couldn't afford it.

I did Menopur and Bravelle with my IVF. I got pregnant, for whatever that's worth!

The doctors said the same to me - didn't know why I miscarried four times, all my tests came back normal, except for MTHFR (which was normal according to my RE but not to my RI). The one karyotype we did showed a trisomy 8. If they had kept counting, they likely would have found more, since the PGD we did with IVF showed multiple abnormalities in multiple embryos (about 50%)

The RI I saw said to stop drinking completely (not even an occasional glass of wine) 4-6 months prior to TTC, because alcohol affects egg quality.

Tessa - thank you for giving me hope! My biggest fear is that it's something intrinsic to me that can't be fixed. I really hope it's just random bad luck for me too!

Augie, I haven't had much time to research it, but apparently it contains some FSH, LH, HCG and maybe estrogen. I've just been crazy busy with work but plan to research it some more. I don't know how expensive it is. Luckily the fragmin should be covered by my work insurance because it's not strictly a fertility drug, it's used by people for a number of different ailments. In fact my dad was prescribed it recently for a blood clot in his leg.

Lisa, thanks for the info. I'm glad it worked for you! I did talk to my RE about PGD briefly a couple of months ago but she said let's keep working on things with fragmin for now and then we'll discuss other options. I'm happy with this, I don't think I'm ready for IVF yet. My abnormality wasn't one of the trisomies - they ruled those out. It was another random abnormality. I have also heard that MTHFR causes miscarriages and I'm surprised your RE said it didn't matter. I'm glad you got your rainbow babies!
