I got my car back today, my grandpa backed into it and the front bumper needed to be replaced. I feel like I;ve had such bad luck with new cars. We had a Cruze for a few months and within the first month we got a nasty hail storm that dented it, and then the Malibu got back into.

Man, that is rotten luck with cars! My mom has also had some interesting luck like that with her truck.

I called the airlines and got everything squared out for our trip. Now it just needs to be June. I told my school that I am skipping the last day of school and they are pissed...I-DON'T-CARE!!!!

Acutally jenn the process itself wasn't crazy expensive. I think we're about $4500 in. Had we done it from Canada, We'd be almost $14,000 in. Got about $1300 left ($600 to renew my card and $600 to take the citizenship test in 3 years). Oh, and passport renewals, but that'll be the last! Since we originally expected about $20,000, we won't say much over $6000.

The process can be lengthy, that's for sure. I'm lucky, I'm Canadian so there really isn't much worry that I wouldn't get my card, or that it would take too long. It's usually 5m start to finish for a Canadian case. 5m would be end of may

Yeah, my SIL is from the Philippines, it's the costs x2 that is so much. plus, they're doing everything as a military family and that makes thing a bit more complicated due to getting overseas orders lol.

We are going on our first road trip. It will be interesting for sure. I am excited to go diving again though. Marsi is going to swim for the first time and I am wondering how she will like it. Regardless, she is going to be adorable!

Sometimes crazy weekends are good, other times, they make me want to curl up and hide in a closet. Thankfully I don't get a lot of them.

I think I'm going to try and see Hunger Games this weekend. I have yet to see it, and DH is on my case about it.

Today we spent almost the entire day on base- because the President and First Lady were there! It was an awesome experience, just crazy long and warm.

Tomorrow is a huge function that I have been helping plan for 4 months, so glad it is finalyl ehre.

Sunday I get to assist on a maternity shoot for a friend.

We are diving at a hot springs in northern Utah. So much fun! That is cool that you were able to be there to see the president and first lady. That would be fun. I have 9 minutes until I am done with work for the week and the time is creeping along!!!

I'm so ready for this election to be over. Would be different if my opinons mattered.... The good news? I WILL get to vote in the next one! WOOT!

Well, if you were able to see the live broadcast and they showed any crowd shots, there was a chance to see me That's where I was all day.

I got to vote in the last one, and I'll vote again this year, unfortunately I'm from a state where the electoral college always runs republican so it feels like my vote doesn't count too much.

I was really enjoying what the news bit was about... A large group of people feel that between the young military families and women in general Obama will have 2012 in the bag. DH is registered republican, but he hasn't voted for one in a while. LOL

Ashley, my DH is a registered Republican too, but he hasn't voted that way in over 10 years. I don't know why he doesn't just switch over to Democrat.

Diving in hot springs sounds amazing. Is there good visibility? I haven't gone diving in years. I was certified PADI Advanced Open Water on the Great Barrier Reef.

Sorry to hear about all the car trouble! I hope the repairs & dealing with insurance goes smoothly!

My 3-yr-old Lucy broke her nose yesterday. She's all puffy and bruised. We have to wait and see how her nose looks when the swelling goes down, and then we can decide if she needs to see an ENT. We'll probably take her regardless. DH once broke his nose which gave him a deviated septum, and he's worried history will repeat itself.

Lisa- the hot springs I dove in was decent visibility, but it was also winter and snowing outside, lol, so it was steamy inside, even more so than usual. I certified at 16 with my family before we went on vacation to the USVI. I'd love to go again, but DH isn't certified and has no desire to certify. sigh.

I'm registered democrat, but I do not vote party line. I mostly registered democrat because my home state dominates republican and I wanted to basically say screw them, lol. I might actually get to vote in person for the first time this year, I've had to vote absentee every time previous.

I'm sorry to hear about Lucy's nose! I'd recommend the ENT anyway too. I broken mine at 3 and we didn't, and my septum deviated. Still haven't repaired it.

I can't dive. I have a problem with my ears. Two water rescues have left me almost 40% deaf in one ear and 20 % in the other. Ruptured the drums both times. Not fun. I didn't really notice it until I moved to the US... Nova Scotian's talk really loud, DH is like a mouse!

LOL I didn't realize it either until DH commented about it. Now he complains I talk too low.. I'm like "make up your dang mind it all sounds the same in my head!"

I'm afraid of water too. Well, I'm afraid of what's IN the water. So really, it's not a big deal I can't go diving.. I probably wouldn't anyway. But I can swim, and love to swim, just mostly inside.

I too am afraid of what is IN the water, like a dead body or a fish that will eat my foot off. But I am also afraid of drowning. When we went on our cruise last year I took valuim(sp???). Afraid of planes too...spiders....fire...life lol
