haha this is so gross, but I haven't changed ours in FOREVER! DH is working 12 hour night shifts so I really don't have a chance to change them. I bought black sheets like a dummy and EVERYTHING sticks to them. Never buy black sheets...

LMAO. I used to be able to go a long time as long as I kept the cat out of my bed. But with Woody's skin problem, even a week for my sheets (which he doesn't sleep or lay on most of the time) is pushing it.
Speaking of sheets, I will be washing ours in about half an hour if the washer is open then. lol

If DH is deployed, I can easily go weeks without washing the sheets. but when he is home, and here, I have to wash them at least once per week. It's too hot and sweaty.

He actually clapped his hands in glee to see clean sheets to go on the beds. He's been extra itchy lately, but they've not repaired one of the washers in the building so it's taking way too long to get laundry done. 12 apartments 1 washer... no fun.

It is quiet. In a way, that is a good thing -- meaning hopefully people aren't suffering RPL. But I don't like seeing boards go through lulls either.
One a different more selfish note, I have been spotting brown the last couple of days -- probably starting at CD19. Cycles are usually 27-29 days. I am freaking out that is early menopause (I am 40; my mom started at 36) or could it be my fibroids?

Have you been to the doctor to see what's causing the spotting?
What has everyone been up to lately & how have you been feeling?
I'm up at 4am and not sure if I should go back to sleep or just suck it up and officially wake up for the day. My daughter woke up and would NOT go back to sleep. I love her, but I am fond of sleep too. I think I need daughter/sleep deprivation conflict resolution counseling.
I feel pulled in a million directions lately and as a result am not getting much accomplished. Feeling a need to go back to school. I'm a rare person who loves school, that is until it's finals time. I'm also under pressure from friends to host a girls' weekend at my home, but I don't want to kick the kids out. It would be so hard on them. What do I do? Hmm....

Well... you have kids, it's not acceptable for your friends to expect you to kick them out of their home for a girls night.

I'm here. I've pretty much stuck my head in the sand with this cycle and am pretending it doesn't exist. Our A/C died on thursday and it's 100 degrees all weekend, and won't be fixed until tuesday or wednesday, so I'm melting and gross too.

I hated when our a/c used to break, it always happened during the worst heat waves too!
Ashley, they have kids too, but their kids are older. They also party hard. I'm a lightweight, so I usually regret hanging out with them the morning after. When did I get so old? Lol.

LOL you aren't old!
My mom hit her second wind about 4 years ago at 44... she's back to the party hard age. I doubt we'll ever get back there... I ran out of the party phase at 24. lol.
I hope everyone had a quiet and peaceful memorial day. This is a new Holiday for me, I wish I could have partook in some of the festivities in the city, but DH has the car during the day and I don't want to try and find parking in the evening in Cincy!

I never hit the party hard stage, nor do I think I will, lol. We never partake in memorial day festivities, other than to usually barbecue, lol

cincy does a huge food thing on Memorial day weekend. I wish I'd have known before Friday or I'd probably have gone over.
I love good food. LOL.

Hey Jen.. was reading your blog... I think our husbands would get along...
(and I've completed most of his sets since these... they're in boxes next to my tv. lol)
LOL. Mine is a fantasy MTG geek as well.
And since I'm a bookloving crafter..... lol... you should live closer!

I just had to jump in here and say Yayyy! My cat's name is Woody too. I rescued him from a small tree at a busy intersection when he was about hamster-sized, lol. He's a 16 year old buff colored DSH. The apple of my husband's eye. Isn't Woody the coolest name for a cat? Post pics!!
Ohh dude! I saw your siggie! Is Woody your husband!? Haha that is funny, I don't even want to delete my post^^. Well, maybe your Woody was a rescue too!
(And still an awesome name even for a human! )
