My BFF who found out she was pregnant just in time for a big April Fools Day reveal is having a miscarriage. So I am talking her through it. Since she was at the doctor today and fetal demise was already determine you'd think these doctor would have some kind of hand out/ pep talk to give a woman having a loss instead of just planning the D&C (for next week) Needless to say she is 1. Hysterical and 2. Freaking out about seeing the baby.

Doctors get a huge F in this section. It's almost as if 90% of them fell asleep during compassionate care or they just skipped it altogether.

Sadly, if she'd have gotten an abortion, there would have been loads of paperwork on how to deal with her feelings, and what to expect.

Just seems so wrong huh?

*hugs* for your friend.

she ended up having a D&C yesterday even after having lost the baby monday. I asked if she had a U/S she said no. I asked why she was having a D&C she said she wanted it done with because it still hurt. I am not a doctor nor to I play one in TV but I feel like my friend had an unnecssary proceedure.
